IDI Technology - Engine Diagnostics

IDI is currently developing a range of technologies applicable to current and future aircraft for integration into engines. On board sensors provide information to operators and associated support organizations which will enable the practice of condition-based maintenance and consequent reduction in life cycle costs. The information is related to the condition of the engine components, lubrication, and fuel systems. In addition IDI has developed technology for in-situ monitoring of engine mounts and related structures. IDI technologies are all at different stages of development. While some exist in the concept stage, others have been developed to full working prototypes. IDI seeks interested parties to develop related product areas by providing engineering services, licensing rights, or in some cases outright sale or technology transfer. The following abstracts describe a summary of currently available IDI technologies for engine diagnostics and general Health Usage Maintenance Systems (HUMS) applications.
