When operating a motor vehicle, the driver is required to observe several
things at once. Hazards can be found on the road as well as inside the vehicle.
Therefore, driver alert systems are almost crucial for the safety of the driver.
To help deal with these issues, IDI has developed an In-Vehicle Road Condition Information
System to indicate obstructions in the vehicle's path. Other sensors have been
developed to monitor the condition of lubrication fluid and engine diagnostics.
